Terms and Conditions for The Manoir

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between the property owner, Schoeller Events and the holidaymaker (hereafter referred to as “you” or “the guest”). The Manoir is located between Sao Bras and Loule in Portugal’s Eastern Algarve. Address:

In this document, the property owner is also referred to as “we” or “us.”
By making a booking, you accept these terms and conditions and agree to comply with them.
Bookings
- Age Requirement: Bookings can only be made by individuals who are at least 21 years old. We reserve the right to refuse any booking without providing a reason.
- Our retreats proceed on the basis that we have a minimum of 6 participants. We will confirm the booking within a minimum of 5 weeks before the commencement of the retreat.
- Booking Process: Upon submitting a booking request through our online reservation system, you will receive an automated booking confirmation email. This email serves as a preliminary acknowledgment and does not constitute a binding contract. Please review the email carefully and inform us of any discrepancies within seven days or before your stay if the booking is made within seven days of arrival.
- Booking Confirmation: The booking will be confirmed only once full payment is received and cleared. Until then, the booking remains provisional and may be cancelled at any time without notice.
Payment
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total booking amount is required to secure your reservation.
- Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full 45 days before your arrival date. If the balance is not received by this deadline, the booking may be cancelled, and the deposit forfeited.
- Payment Methods: We accept payments by international bank transfer (BACS), and the following credit & debit cards: Visa and Mastercard. Payments can be made online or by phone.
Arrival and Departure
- Retreats begin on Mondays and finish on Saturdays. Check in and Check out are on these specific days. Guests arriving or leaving before or after these days must organise their own accommodation. Guests must send flight arrival and departure details so that we can organise airport transfers.
Photograph Release
- We may photograph and video group activities for use in future marketing materials and by entering into this contract with Iberian Wellness Retreats, you hereby give us your consent to use this imagery for this purpose. If this is not acceptable to you, please let us know in advance of the Retreat taking place.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations More Than 90 Days Before Arrival: If you cancel your booking 90 days or more before your arrival date, a charge equal to 50% of the total booking amount will be applied. However, if the participant is able to find a replacement attendee then there will only be a nominal administrative fee.
- Cancellations Less Than 90 Days Before Arrival: If you cancel your booking less than 90 days before your arrival date, you will be charged the full booking amount.
- No Show or Booking Reduction: In the event of a no-show or a reduction in the length of your stay after the arrival date, the full cost of the booking will be charged.
- Refunds: We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover potential cancellations or unforeseen circumstances. We cannot offer refunds or compensation for cancellations due to “force majeure” events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or other situations beyond our control.
Amendments and Date Changes
- Date Changes: Date changes are subject to availability and are at the discretion of our team. If we cannot accommodate your request, the standard cancellation policy will apply.
Property Owner Cancellation
- In the unlikely event that The Manoir becomes unavailable for your booked dates, we will make every effort to find suitable alternative accommodation. If this is not possible, you will receive a full refund. Our liability is limited to the refund of the booking amount, and we shall not be responsible for any additional compensation or consequential losses.
Occupancy
- Maximum Occupancy: Only the individuals listed on the booking form are permitted to stay. Breach of this condition will result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.
- Subletting: Sub-letting of the property is prohibited.
SEF/Entry to Portugal (Portuguese Immigration and Border Service)
“The operators of tourism complexes, complementary means of tourist accommodation, or tourist complexes are obliged to register all guests via the SEF On line System within three working days. We therefore need passport details of all attendees on arrival at the Manoir.
- Maximum Occupancy: Only the individuals listed on the booking form are permitted to stay. Breach of this condition will result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.
- Subletting: Sub-letting of the property is prohibited.
Liability
- Personal Possessions: Schoeller Events accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage to personal possessions or vehicles belonging to guests. Vehicles and personal belongings are left at the guest’s risk.
- Personal Injury: We are not liable for any personal injury or death unless caused by our negligence.
- Allergies: It is your responsibility to advise (in advance, of any food or drink allergies).
- Suitability. It is the responsibility of the guest to assess their own suitability to take part in our retreats.
Damages, Breakages, and Cleaning
- Breakages & Damages: We do not charge a breakage deposit, but if loss or damage to the property is found, we have right to charge the card on file. An invoice will be provided for these damages.
Complaints
- Complaint Procedure: We strive to ensure your stay is enjoyable. If you encounter any issues, please inform us immediately so we can address the problem promptly. We will make every effort to resolve any issues during your stay.
Onsite Regulations
- Behaviour: All guests are expected to behave in a considerate and respectful manner. Noise levels should be kept to a minimum after 21:00, and all noise must cease by 23:00.
- Fire Safety: BBQs must be used only in designated areas and kept at least 1 metre away from accommodation. Only the wood provided by us may be used. Fireworks and sky lanterns are prohibited due to fire hazards and the danger they pose to wildlife.
- Maintenance: Essential maintenance may be carried out during your stay without compensation.
Personal Belongings
- Personal Belongings Left Behind: If any personal belongings are left behind at our properties, a €20 fee will be charged to cover handling, Edourda’s time, and postage of the items. This fee must be paid in full before the items are posted.
No Smoking Policy
- Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside The Manoir.
Personal Details and Data Protection
- Data Use: Schoeller Events will collect and use your personal information for booking administration and may send you promotional or marketing materials. Your data will be protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Governing Law
- Jurisdiction: This contract is governed by Portuguese Law.

- Animals – we have animals living in the grounds of the Manoir. Please do not enter into their enclosures.
